Lumberton Community Park & Playground

The park, which was built in 2000 and funded by the Lumberton Industrial Corp., is a joint project of the City of Lumberton and the Lumberton Indepedent School District.

The park is located on the corner of Village Creek Parkway and East Candlestick, next to the Lumberton Primary School.

Amenities of the park include playground equipment, tennis courts, a covered basketball pavilion, a quarter mile walking track, and a covered gazebo pavilion that can be reserved for gatherings by calling the City of Lumberton at (409) 755-3700.

While at the park, be sure and visit the memorial to honor all veterans and victims of 911. Another point of interest is the area that contains the 1936 rustic stone picnic tables and cooking pits that were donated to the city when the original roadside park site on Hwy. 69 was closed by the State of Texas.

The playground equipment in the park is utilized by the primary school and therefore the park is closed on school days from 7:30 am – 2:30 pm.

Freedom Park

Freedom Park, located on the city complex, was built in 2005 and offers a beautiful gazebo and park benches to enjoy. The gazebo can be reserved for small gatherings by calling the City of Lumberton at (409) 755-3700. The gazebo has become a favorite spot for many small weddings and photo shoots.
